WNS Summer Program 2017

What can you do this summer at WNS?
The WNS summer faculty has created highly engaging, interactive, hands-on project-based learning experiences infused with reading, writing, research, mathematics, problem-solving, creativity, collaborative work, and study skills. Each summer session will offer different projects involving engaging work, utilizing and reinforcing academic skills, and opportunities to expand learning about a specific topic.

The Summer Academy in the morning during both sessions offers two dynamic programs - the transition program and problem-based learning classes - to engage students in purposeful learning.
  • The Transition Program provides a smooth transition for students to the next academic year, all while being immersed in engaging projects.
  • The Project-Based Learning Program supports the development of essential 21st century skills: collaboration, analytical thinking, creativity, innovation, technology, and communication. The projects will also provide students with study skills as well as skill development in reading comprehension, writing, and mathematics.
  • The Enrichment Program in the afternoon during both sessions offers a variety of activities for grades DK through 8 including robotics, engineering, yoga, visual art, music, theater, and a super fun sports camp for students of all ages.
